Why do I need weep hole protection?

  • Your home is your castle and probably the biggest investment you will make, so it’s important to keep it safe, secure and healthy.
  • Weep holes are vital in brick homes to allow for moisture escape and ventilation, however they are a point of weakness in that they are a proven entry point for embers during bushfire and allow easy access to your home for a variety of pests.
  • The good news is that Weepa have a range of weep hole protectors to keep pests out of your home and provide protection from ember attack.

Building or renovating a home?

For perfect weep holes from the start, install Weepa weep hole formers (“Weepas”) into the brickwork during the construction of homes or extensions.

Weepas ensure good ventilation and drainage from the weep holes, whilst providing protection from pests and bushfire embers.

A range of different pre-construction Weepas are available depending on brick sizes and requirements.

The correct Weepa should be specified on plans to ensure installation is carried out by the brick layer during the construction.
